Nearly 20 years after Lee Iacocca retired--and 45 years after he helped launch America's first pony car--the former Ford and Chrysler exec is attaching his visage to this: the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang. Planned for a limited run of only 45 units, the "I" edition features 5 hp more than stock from the Ford 4.6-liter V8; a 400-hp supercharged version is optional. Was it really a Ferrari being blasted through Paris in Rendezvous? Or was it just a Mercedes 450SEL with Lelouch’s 275GTB soundtrack dubbed in? Frankly, it doesn’t matter - Claude Lelouch’s 1976 C'était Un Rendezvous (to give the film its full title) was a thrilling masterpiece.
As we expected, Volkswagen introduced the real version of the GTI Roadster “Vision Gran Turismo” at the Woerthersee festival in Austria on Thursday. The show car was originally created for the PS3 game's “Vision” series of cars. It debuted in-game on Monday.
